Applying directly to a Korean university

   Choose exactly one university

   You may apply to only one university under this track. Choose based on department fit, faculty, language of instruction and your competitiveness.

   Read that university's own notice

   Each university publishes its own GKS notice with its deadline, portal, required forms and additional department documents. These differ from the Embassy checklist.

   Submit to the university

   Usually online upload plus a courier of originals to the international office.

   University screening

   The university evaluates and recommends candidates within its own GKS quota.

   NIIED final selection

   NIIED reviews recommended candidates and announces the final list.

   Admission, visa and arrival

   Certificate of Admission, D-2 visa at KVAC in India, then travel.

• Department-level fit matters more — strong research alignment can outweigh raw grades
• Deadlines are frequently later than the Embassy Track deadline

• Some highly ranked universities receive extremely high volumes of applications
