Passport
Proof of Indian citizenship and the identity document used across the whole GKS application and D-2 visa process.
Tatkaal 1–3 working days; normal 15–30 days including police verification · ₹1,500 (36 pages, normal) to ₹3,500+ (Tatkaal)
Aadhaar
Domestic identity proof used for notarisation, apostille and bank/medical formalities in India.
Update: 7–30 days · ₹50 for updates
Degree Certificate
Proves completion of your bachelor's or master's degree — a core eligibility document.
2 weeks to 6 months depending on the university · ₹500–₹5,000
Semester Marksheets
Evidence of semester-wise performance; used to verify the GPA you declare.
Same day to 3 weeks · ₹100–₹1,000 per set
Consolidated Transcript
Single sealed document listing all subjects, credits and grades — usually required in a sealed university envelope.
2–8 weeks · ₹500–₹3,000
Provisional Certificate
Used when the final degree certificate has not yet been issued after your final semester.
1–4 weeks · ₹200–₹1,000
Recommendation Letter
Two letters from professors or supervisors who can evaluate your academic and personal capability.

Your academic roadmap in Korea: language plan, coursework, research and post-graduation contribution.

Required or strongly recommended for doctoral and research programme applicants.

Income Certificate
May be requested where financial background is considered for certain quotas.

Birth Certificate
Proof of date of birth and, in some cases, parentage.

Parent Citizenship Proof
GKS requires the applicant and both parents to be nationals of the applying country and not Korean nationals.
Immediate if passports exist · Passport fees if newly applied
Passport Copies
Copies of applicant and parent passports as supporting nationality evidence.
Same day · ₹100–₹500 notarisation
Medical Certificate
Health assessment on the official NIIED form; a full medical exam is required after selection.
1–5 days · ₹1,000–₹5,000
Photographs
Passport-style photographs for the application form and later the visa application.
