The mentor is designed as a retrieval-grounded assistant: it answers only from official sources and states clearly when it cannot.

The uncertainty guardrail
When an answer cannot be grounded in an indexed official document, the mentor replies:"This information should be verified using the latest official announcement."
It never invents deadlines, allowance figures, quotas or eligibility exceptions.
Status
The mentor needs a backend to hold the official document index and run the model securely. Enable Lovable Cloud and I will build it: document ingestion, embeddings, retrieval with citations, the uncertainty guardrail, and per-student chat history — plus the premium AI tools (profile evaluation, SOP reviewer, study plan reviewer, recommendation checker, interview coach and university matcher).
